GKH is a proud supporter of social enterprise and socially conscious entrepreneurs. As a result of partner Peter Kraybill’s association with ASSETS Lancaster, GKH sponsored the Great Social Enterprise Pitch, which culminated on August 8 with five semi-finalists presenting 5-minute pitches to a panel of judges and a live audience. The Pitch was a friendly competition for local entrepreneurs, whose business models were evaluated, refined, and tested for feasibility.

In addition to sponsoring the event, GKH donated legal services to assist one of the finalists in the formation of a business entity. The panel of judges selected Samuel Fisher of Stewardship Innovations, LLC as its second-place winner and recipient of the GKH pro bono services. Mr. Fisher developed the Nomadic Animal Grazer (NAG), a moveable solar-powered system that provides grazing, shelter, shade and sun for a variety of species. The system allows animals to graze otherwise unusable areas, leaving a minimal environmental footprint. For a clip of Mr. Fisher’s pitch, click here.

Congratulations to Samuel Fisher and the Nomadic Animal Grazer! We look forward to our partnership as this new business venture takes shape and grows.
