GKH partner Mel Hess along with Mental Health America of Lancaster County (MHALC) board members, has campaigned to raise $100,000 to benefit the numerous programs begun by retiring Executive Director Mary Steffy.  Mary Steffy has served MHALC for over 33 years, 28 of those as Executive Director.  In her tenure, Mary has been instrumental in developing education programs and workshops addressing various mental health issues; promoting mental health awareness in the corrections system; and creating support groups.  Her selflessness is evident in her challenge to raise money as a celebration of her many achievements.  Hess and MHALC will celebrate Mary’s retirement on May 11, 2012 as well as the inevitable success of the fundraising campaign.
