Planning for Long-Term Care and Avoiding Mistakes (seminar full)
Elder Law attorney Marci Miller will discuss estate planning basics, including wills, durable financial powers of attorney, living wills, and health care powers of attorney. Moving beyond the basics, she will cover levels of care and payment options for those considering assisted living or personal care, in-home care, or skilled nursing care. She will also discuss the Medicaid Long-Term Care Program, or Medical Assistance, with an emphasis on financial eligibility rules for Medical Assistance in Pennsylvania, and common mistakes to avoid. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of medical assistance estate recovery.
