Register for “Duties of Religious Leaders to Report Suspected Child Abuse”
GKH invites pastors and other leaders responsible for children and youth ministries and congregational child protection policies to a free seminar on March 21, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The seminar, limited to the first 110 registrants, includes a light breakfast and will feature Gibbel Kraybill & Hess attorneys, as well as speakers from Lancaster County Children and Youth and law enforcement. Topics will include:
What does the Child Protective Services Law say triggers a reporting duty?
To whom must reports be made?
What is the clergy confidentiality provision, and when might it apply to a church’s reporting duty?
What happens after a report of suspected child abuse is made?
