GKH staff participate in local Wills for Heroes events
GKH paralegal Jennifer Marcus will volunteer at the next event of Wills for Heroes program being held at the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center in Manheim for first responders on March 24, 2012. Coordinating the paralegal volunteers for this day will be GKH paralegal Susan Boddy. Marcus and Boddy are members of the Lancaster Area Paralegals Association (LAPA), which along with the Lancaster Bar Association (LBA), is sponsoring this event. In previous years, GKH attorneys Brian Black, Tim Shawaryn, Dwight Yoder and John Gibbel have all volunteered as members of the LBA. Gibbel has a special connection to this project due to his personal experience with the Rothsville Fire Company. In 2007, Gibbel was saved from a fire at his home and resuscitated by the volunteer firefighters. An article detailing his experience can be viewed here. The Wills for Heroes Foundation provides legal documents such as wills, living wills and power of attorneys for first responders.
