The annual “Who’s Who in Business” survey, conducted by an independent market research firm, gauges consumer preference by asking one question: “Who do you perceive to be the leader in the following business categories?” Respondents were contacted by email, and were given the option of selecting from a list of businesses or entering their own choice. Precautions were taken to eliminate “ballot stuffing” and to ensure the validity of the responses.
