Employment Opportunity – Zoning and Land Use Paralegal

Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP seeks a full-time Paralegal to work with multiple attorneys and paralegals in their advocacy practice group with a specific focus on zoning and land use matters. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, be able to work in a team environment, have strong technology skills and be able to multi-task. Prior paralegal experience in zoning matters or experience working in a law firm is helpful but not required. All candidates should have strong self-management and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Responsibilities:
• Answer phones and schedule client appointments
• Deliver zoning errands to various municipalities
• Prepare correspondence and other communications
• Process mail
• Assist in the preparation of zoning and land use applications and submissions
• Research property records and review zoning ordinances
• Interact with clients, municipal officials and consultants
• Assist on scanning, copying and filing projects
• Assist attorneys and paralegals on cases as needed
Skills:
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under deadlines
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive and professional demeanor
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate (Preferred but not required)
