Legal Assistant for Advocacy Department


Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP seeks a full-time Legal Assistant to work with multiple attorneys and paralegals in their advocacy practice group which focuses on litigation, zoning and administrative cases.  The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, be able to work in a team environment, have strong technology skills and be able to multi-task .  Prior legal assistant experience in litigation and / or zoning matters or experience working in a law firm is helpful but not required.  All candidates should have strong self-management and inter-personal skills.  We offer a comprehensive benefit package and a collegial work setting.   • Answer phones and schedule client appointments
  • Deliver zoning errands to various municipalities
  • Prepare correspondence and other communications
  • Process mail
  • Print and assemble exhibits and binders for applications, hearings and trials
  • Assist on scanning, copying and filing projects
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals on cases as needed


  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive and professional demeanor


  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate (Preferred but not required)
