Child Protective Services Law: Changes and Updates
On November 7, 2016, GKH attorney Ann Martin will give a presentation at the Parish Resource Center on the status of the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law (“the Law”), aspects of the Law identified by child protection advocates and legislators as requiring further clarification, and a look at how effectively the state’s hotline for child abuse is functioning.
The presentation is geared toward churches and will be of interest to pastors and those who work with children’s ministry. After the presentation, attorney Martin will answer questions about the Law and how it affects congregations.
Ann Martin practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning and estate administration. She also provides legal counsel to churches, schools and other nonprofits regarding policies and procedures to prevent and report suspected child abuse. Ann frequently speaks to churches and other organizations about compliance with Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Law.
This presentation takes place on Monday, November 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Parish Resource Center, 2160 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster. It is free to everyone, but registration is requested. You can register here.
