Employment Opportunity – Zoning and Land Use Paralegal
Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP seeks a full-time Paralegal to work with attorneys and paralegals in their advocacy practice group with a specific focus on zoning and land use matters. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented; be able to work independently and in a team environment; have strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiently utilize technology; and be able to manage a workload involving multiple assignments. Prior paralegal experience and/or experience working in a law firm is helpful but not required. All candidates should have strong time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
• Answer phones and schedule client appointments
• Deliver zoning submissions to various municipalities
• Prepare correspondence and other communications
• Process mail
• Assist in the preparation of zoning and land use applications and submissions
• Research property records and review zoning ordinances
• Interact with clients, municipal officials, and consultants
• Assist on scanning, copying and filing projects
• Assist attorneys and paralegals on cases as needed
Skills:
• Attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work under and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple assignments
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive and professional demeanor
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate (Preferred but not required)
