Warwick Senior Issues Seminars

The Warwick Ministerium is pleased to announce that they are endorsing a no-cost series of Senior Issues Seminars. The seminars will cover a wide variety of issues of interest to older adults and their families. Each of these presentations will feature local experts in their topics.

AUDIENCE: Any Lititz area older adult and their family members are invited to attend these seminars. Registration is not required.

LOCATION: The Lititz United Methodist Church is hosting the seminars. They are located at 201 E. Market Street and have adequate parking and an accessible building. The seminars will be presented live in the church sanctuary.

PROCESS: Each presentation will feature about 45 minutes of content and allow about 15 minutes for audience questions. The presentations will be recorded and later loaded to the Lititz United Methodist Church’s YouTube channel for the convenience of persons unable to travel to the church, people traveling, or review with adult children who are located out of this area. The recorded videos will allow easy review and may contain supplemental materials.

DATES and TIMES: The first two seminars are scheduled for Sunday, April 23 and Sunday, April 30 and will start at 2:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM.

TOPIC and PRESENTERS:

April 23 Attorney Douglas Smith of Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP will present on “Estate Planning; From Simple to Sophisticated.”

April 30 Attorney Marci Miller of Gibbel Kraybill and Hess LLP will present on “Long Term Care Planning and Common Mistakes to Avoid.”

Future Topics will include Senior Living Options, Financial Management, Long Term Care Insurance, Hospice Services and Natural Death, Newly Widowed – Now What, Planning for Burial or Cremation, and Giving Back and Perpetuating Family Values. Details of the presenters and dates will be released in several weeks.
