Thomas M. Gish, Sr.

Tom is a member of the GKH Corporate Practice Group and works with clients to navigate the planning, financing, and execution of business and real estate transactions. Tom assists business clients with entity formation, contractual agreements, transfers of business interests, and other operational issues. He represents real estate clients in the acquisition, development, and sale of commercial, industrial, and residential real estate, as well as zoning matters, lease agreements and landlord-tenant issues. Tom’s practice also involves estate planning and estate administration, where he helps clients plan for and achieve both individual estate planning and business succession goals.

Tom’s background in business allows him to act as a trusted advisor, giving insight to clients ranging from family businesses to corporate entities. Prior to his legal career, Tom worked in almost every aspect of his family’s furniture business, ultimately acting as the operations manager overseeing retail and logistics locations across several states.

As an undergraduate, Tom studied business administration and eventually went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. In law school, he focused his studies on business and tax law and was awarded the Fehlinger Family Scholarship for his active interest in entrepreneurship.

Tom enjoys bluegrass music, woodworking, being involved at church, and spending time with his family.
