Team GKH Rappels for Charity

On October 6, GKH litigation attorney Jason Asbell and elder law paralegal Ryan Burroughs rappelled 11 stories down the side of Ruoff Tower in Lancaster to raise funds for Lancaster Health Center.

Team GKH raised a combined total of $2,940.00 in support of this hardworking nonprofit that provides a wide range of health services to 22,000 of our neighbors here in Lancaster every year.

“Until two years ago I wasn’t attuned to the scope of services and the numbers of persons Lancaster Health Center serves,” said attorney Mel Hess, who helped organize the 2018 Over The Edge fundraiser and who went over the edge himself last year. “It is truly remarkable when one considers how little money is provided the Health Center for its services. And in this day and age when due to the political chaos in our nation the right to health services is so uncertain, SELHS’s continuing presence in the Lancaster County community is more important than ever.”

Friends, co-workers and clients may continue to support Team GKH by contributing via their fundraising page by the end of the day on Friday, October 26. Contributions help promote and ensure the continuing health of the greater Lancaster community.

Many thanks to all who contributed, and to those who came out to cheer for the GKH rappellers as they made their descent.
