GKH Attorneys Kraybill, Worley and Martin To Present at Stewardship University 2015

Three GKH attorneys are scheduled presenters for Everence’s Stewardship University at Lancaster Mennonite School on March 7, 2015. Partner Peter Kraybill’s presentation “J. Doe v. Church” discusses the treatment of churches for purposes of contract law, trademarks, copyrights and negligence, and suggests ways that churches can be protective and proactive when engaging with the world.

Partner Jeff Worley’s presentation “When the Church Is Boss” looks at employment-related questions facing churches. Topics to be covered include pastor housing, discrimination claims and the ministerial exception, unemployment compensation and workers compensation, and health care coverage.

Attorney Ann Martin and co-presenter Linda Crockett, Director of Education and Consultation at Samaritan Counseling Center, lead “Who’s a Mandated Reporter Now? Child protection laws in a post-Sandusky world.” This seminar provides an overview of some of the most significant changes to Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Law. The material will be of interest to anyone working with children in organizations and churches.

Each year, Stewardship University invites attendees to discover the solutions they need to live God-honoring lives of holistic stewardship. For more information and a 2015 registration form, click here.
