GKH invites pastors and other leaders responsible for children and youth ministries and congregational child protection policies to a free seminar on March 21, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.  The seminar, limited to the first 110 registrants, includes a light breakfast and will feature Gibbel Kraybill & Hess attorneys, as well as speakers from Lancaster County Children and Youth and law enforcement.  Topics will include:

What does the Child Protective Services Law say triggers a reporting duty?

To whom must reports be made?

What is the clergy confidentiality provision, and when might it apply to a church’s reporting duty?

What happens after a report of suspected child abuse is made?

Due to limited seating, please RSVP by emailing Justin Halat at Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP no later than March 14, 2012.  An event flyer can be viewed here.
